franchise

English to German Other Games / Video Games / Gaming / Casino
XXX announced today the first in the series of sports racing titles based on the **racing franchise** of Kimi Räikkönen, Ice One Racing coming to iPhone, iPad and other smartphones. XXX has selected award winning PC and mobile developer YYY to develop the game, having participated in racing titles such as Supercross, ATV Offroad, TROPHYLITE Rally, X Games Snocross, and Ricky Carmichael’s Motocross Match-Up. The first game in the Kimi Räikkönen **franchise** will focus on four unique racing types, representative of Kimi’s experience and passion for each. The game will be shipping worldwide globally in late summer.

Wie kann man franchise in diesen beiden Fällen übersetzen und was bedeutet es in diesem Zusammenhang? Kann jemand helfen?

Selected

(1)= Rallye-Team / (2)=Rennspielreihe (-serie)

Hier müssen zwei unterschiedliche Übersetzungen gewählt werden.
Ice One Racing ist das neue Rallye-Team von Kimi (http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/rallye-team/ice-1-racing-... Da im AT "series of sports racing titles based on the racing franchise of Kimi Räikkönen" steht, muss hier eine andere Übersetzung als "Rennspielreihe" gewählt werden (sonst wäre es doppelt gemoppelt).

Das zweite "franchise" hingegen bezieht sich auf die erscheinende Rennspielreihe.
