Thanks :) I can't agree you more. The most challenging part in translating Chinese herbal medicine is to translate the symptoms of diseases or the functions of medicine. There are lots of these kind of phrases shown in translating article, which really drained my mind off :)

Good luck with this one... The meanings of these Chinese medicine terms are so vague that they're almost impossible to translate. If you Google it, you'll find a Tudou video which talks about 骨蒸劳热 as a symptom of (or description of) the menopause!
In the context you're talking about, I would just go with a literal translation, like the one Catherine found. It doesn't mean anything, but then, neither does the source, so you've achieved perfect transmission of meaning...
