I am currently translating an operating manual for a "Zahlungsautomat." Throughout the document the text refers to "Kassenkarten" and I was considering whether these should be called "cash cards" or "payment cards" or something else. I have been looking on the Internet and come across the following but I am not sure that we have this system in the UK. Can anyone suggest a good translation for me.

Selbstverständlich kann man auch am Kassenautomaten mit EC-Karte bezahlen. Außerdem gibt es die Möglichkeit direkt am Arbeitsplatz des Sachbearbeiters im Bürgeramt mit EC-Karte zu zahlen. Well, looking at one of the companies that makes these systems, they call them:
"The HESS payment system 'Light' software is a multifunctional software solution for the automatic cashing up of cash, debit, and credit card payments."
This appears to be what they are talking about in your link.
So, I would go with debit cards, but have Nicola put in an answer so she can get the points.
