One-Piece Dual Stage Venous Return Cannula is designed to be used in the extracorporeal circuit for blood drainage from the vena cava and right atrium of the heart during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery. The One-Piece Dual Stage Cannula has a proximal flexible polyvinyl chloride tubing segment for drainage of the right atrium. The Cannula body tapers to a flexible polyvinyl chloride tubing distal segment that ends in a lighthouse tip for drainage of the vena cava. The proximal and distal segments of the Cannula are available in wire reinforced tubing. The wire-reinforced and wire-reinforce low profile Cannulas are provided with an obturator to minimize blood flow through the drainage basket.
