The term "bassinato" comes from the bassina, a copper pot.
"Bassinato" is often used also for confetti.

I always found it translated with "enrobée". Once I also read "encapsulated", but I think the French term is easier to be found.

Bassinati are usually enrobée with chocolate, and inside they have dry fruits or candied fruits.
