Hi,
How do you describe the sword ذو الفقار?
I.e. how do you say 'double-pointed'?
I refer to the two, forked points at the end of the sword on the right-hand edge of this picture:

On the left-hand edge of the picture we have the hilt (i.e. the handle of the sword).
I do not refer to the edge (or edges) – presumably ‘double-edged’ is ‘دولبه’ or ‘دو‌دم’.

However, if we decide to take literally the shape as depicted here at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dhulfiqar.png and forget about what it represents and why it is drawn in the way that it is, I'm beginning to think that Ahmad’s suggestion seems perfect as ‘سر شمشیر’ means ‘the point of a sword’.
So, ‘شمشیر دوسر’, certainly – also, how about ‘شمشیر دونوک’? Would that be okay too?
