"A Slinger Signaller acts as the main person who by means of either two-way radio or hand signals will guide loads safely around site. Amongst their duties he/she would check the load and landing area to ensure it is safe to receive the load, he/she will also need to assess the weights of loads prior to lifting and ensure that the correct Slings and lifting equipment is used for the task. This person would be required on most sites to hold a CPCS Slinger Signaller competency card formally known as Slinger Banksman. "
