Do any of you train enthusiasts know (not guess) what is a "carrello non disteso" and a "carrello disteso"?

These must be sliding bogies. However, I cannot remember now the proper terms for disteso/non disteso. It should be rearward/forward but am not sure.

Yes Yes, I saw that website myself. So in your opinion, what is the meaning of "disteso/non disteso" (it may have nothing to do with bench testing).

Because there is only one way to position the bogie on the bench. Here they are talking about the way the bogie is: disteso/non disteso.

I think--- --- they may be talking about how the bogie is positioned on the test bench. But I'd appreciate an expert opinion.

The bogie stretcher on the main chassis was now machined and hole drilled and reamed to size.

Whilst all parts had been machined correctly the bogie stretched was 3/16" out of position all due to misunderstanding the plan

The centre bogie stretched tried on the centre piece to check for size.
