Due to print and promotion deadlines, KQED locks its broadcast schedule nine weeks in advance. Generally, licensed programs are first aired between six months to one year after the execution of the license agreement. KQED will contact the producer once the program has been scheduled. Producers are always welcome to contact KQEDэs Director of Program Scheduling to inquire about the status of their programs.

By scheduling programs when most children canХt see them and by failing to provide adequate promotion and financial support, broadcasters are treating these programs as second class citizens. In stark contrast to the prime scheduling, heavy promotion, and major merchandising of kids\' toy-based programs, these new educational programs are given almost no opportunity to succeed by broadcasters.
