finishing

Ben geen expert, maar kennelijk wordt "opkweek, koeling en de afkweek" vertaald als "growing, cooling, and finishing".
Example sentence:

Bij Phalaenopsis kent men drie teeltstadia: de opkweek, de koeling en de afkweek.

Phalaenopsis cultivation involves three phases: growing, cooling, and finishing.

agree Dr O Luttikhuis : Ik had dezelfde reference gevonden, maar was net iets te laat.

completion of the growth phase

Explanation:
for 'afkweekfase'
From http://www.dehoogorchideeen.nl/bedrijf.html:
"Koelinstallatie
De koelinstallatie zorgt voor het in bloei trekken van de planten en het rustig afkweken voor een betere houdbaarheid." (NL pages - 'Bedrijf')
Cooling system
The cooling system ensures that the plants flower and that the growing process can be completed steadily to safeguard longevity. (EN page - 'Business')

In view of Ron's contribution, perhaps "completion of the growth phase" (see above "..growing process can be completed"..) is a better option.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Ron Hartong PhD (X) : growth phase = opkweek; I wonder how you would translate 'de eindfase van de opkweek' earlier in the sentence given by Bracha.

Accepted Ron, apologies..I obviously did not consider the sentence in its entirety..
