Please, what do you call a death announcement (i.e. advertisement)?

If I understand rightly, a photo is always supplied for the announcement of someone’s death (in a local paper?). Perhaps it's a legal requirement in Iran, I don't know.

In this case the death was a sudden one (by murder).

It sounded like ‘اعلان یَش’, but please ignore if unhelpful.
