"Gunite is a process of applying concrete to structure. Gunite comes in two basic forms: a dry gun and a wet gun.

Pools Unlimited Inc. uses the wet gun method, also known as shotcrete, which uses premixed concrete. This mixture is pumped to a nozzle where air is induced, which allows the material to be placed "shot" in the walls and floor of the structure. Computers are used to control the concrete mixture using a pre-designed mix which can be adjusted on site. Gunite mixture is composed of cement, sand, water and an aggragate.
