Greek term

παριφαία

Greek to English Medical Medical (general) Surgery
Η επέμβαση πραγματοποιήθηκε σε χειρουργική αίθουσα. Έγινε τομή δέρματος επιμήκης επί του ψηλαφητού μορφώματος. Κατά την προσπέλαση του υποδόριου ιστου ανευρίσκεται και παρασκεύαζεται το μόρφωμα. Έγινε παριφαία εκτομή αυτού επί υγειών ορίων. Το παρασκεύασμα απεστάλλει προς ιστοπαθολογική εξέταση.

Is there such a word. If it's a typo, what could it be please?
Many thanks

Thanks ... sounds good

Μήπως εννοεί στις παρυφές του? Δηλαδή "marginal dissection"?

clear margin (excision)

Margins
Microscopically clear margins of at least 2 to 3 mm must
be obtained circumferentially on the lumpectomy specimen
because local recurrence rates increase with narrower
margins. No additional reduction in local recurrence rates
is seen with margin widths greater than 2 mm in patients
who receive radiation therapy.
Margins must be clear for both invasive cancer and
for ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Atypical hyperplasia
and lobular carcinoma in situ at resection margins do
not increase local recurrence rates. Although the growth
patterns of invasive lobular cancers and cancers with an
extensive intraductal component may make achieving
clear margins more difficult, tumors with these histological
patterns are eligible for lumpectomy if clear margins
are achieved.
Example sentence:

Histologically clear margins are essential for safe breast-conserving surgery.
