Hi Danila If you click on my links, you see that PD gets a quarter of a million, while SG gets just seven thousand hits. The first time I heard porco dio nearly 30 years ago is still ingrained in my memory. I can't rember anybody saying "screw God". The common expression is "screw you", which means "I hope you suffer". Porco dio is a reflex action to pain or anger. "screw God" is meditated, it is saying I want God to suffer.
Out of context SG is weird. If somebody kept going on and on about God and a listener was fed up, then they might say "Screw God" in the sense of forget about God, talk about something else, I don't care about God, he can even go to hell for all I care, screw him. Let's talk about something else. The expression "screw that" means I don't care about that, forget about that. "screw you" or "screw a person" means I hate you I hope you suffer.
SG is neither an imprecation nor an intercalare.

@James 1. Thank you for the infomation. 2. Why are you telling me this? I didn't come up with "screw god". I didn't even discuss it, and honestly, I'm not even interested. I opened this discusson because I wanted to exchange some points of view concerning Italian imprecations (bestemmie). That's it.

@ Jim be', PD si dice anche come intercalare, e come pensiero ossessivo intrusivo ci sta bene (la persona continua a dirsi mentalmente quella frase e non riesce a smettere). Poi, io non so bene cosa significhi l'espressione inglese e quando la si dica. Magari potresti spiegare meglio e proporre qualche possibile resa in italiano, anche approssimativa, che mi permetta di capire meglio la tua posizione.

@Tomkowicz The problem is that first and foremost "PD" is an imprecation and only a blasphemy secondarily. If you hit your thumb instead of a nail with a hammer, you say somthing like "C*zzo, PD", (it is similar to C*zzo, which has nothing to do with God) but you would never say "screw God" in that situation. Basically, "Screw God" is not an imprecation. It is also rare:

@adamiakapataflo Figurati ;) In ogni caso sono Jolanta. Si i toscani, nel campo della bestemmia, sono (invidiosamente) geniali, usano le più svariate composizioni, praticamente ne fanno una forma d'arte.

Bestemmie e blasfemie Per alcuni anni ho vissuto in una regione centrale dell'Italia, dove la gente (comune) usava le bestemmie quasi come punti virgola. Ne ho sentite alcune coloratissime e piene di fantasia. Non le uso personalmente ma quando sento qualcuno che sa di cosa parla non posso fare a meno che ridere :) :D
