Italian term

presidio patrimoniale

Italian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Talking about the reasons behind a bank's share capital increase operation:

"l’operazione è finalizzata al presidio patrimoniale e al consolidamento degli obiettivi di sviluppo e di crescita sostenibile della Banca"

are we talking about the bank's assets here?
all help gratefully received, thanks in advance!

liquidity risk safeguard/management

I may be wrong but I guess here, "patrimoniale" in the text means more the ban's liquidity risk than generally the bank's assets .... this is IMHO, of course

and "presidio" in my view is intended as the safeguard, the protection or the management .....

see if it fits your whole context.

instead of safeguard or management, may be it would be better to use **supervision** or **monitoring**
