English term

GOK

English to French Law/Patents Law: Patents, Trademarks, Copyright GOK
This is a Contract between a Publisher and a Partner, for the exhibition of Works (paintings and photos) in museums in US.

The sentence says :

For GOK painting's rights, XXX will pay fees for a maximum of 4800 USD.

Is GOK 'pouvoirs publics'?
Any light on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Véronique Il vaudrait mieux fermer cette question (le problème étant résolu depuis deux jours).
VeroniquePhelut (asker) Dec 6, 2013:
I have found it. It is indeed another artist who was not mentioned at first.
Thanks for your help!
Simon Charass Dec 6, 2013:
Can it be Gallery Of K… It’s probably related to the place where the exhibition take place or the organization that promotes it.
AllegroTrans Dec 5, 2013:
Could you post more of the surrounding text? this might help
AllegroTrans Dec 5, 2013:
Thanks asker I don't think in this case that it's really a translation issue - especially if this is a "fixed" acronym. Maybe a bit of googling in the "arty" area will throw some light on this. I am still confused by the apostrophe.
AllegroTrans Dec 5, 2013:
Gok Wan Speculation, asker needs to look at the rest of this contract, this can hardly be the sole mention of the artist's name
VeroniquePhelut (asker) Dec 5, 2013:
I have gone through the file to look for GOK, there was no mention of it. I still think though that it is an artist or a foundation, as the works are clearly not intended to be displayed in public areas.
kashew Dec 5, 2013:
Gok Wan fashion guru, may be what's referred to.
AllegroTrans Dec 5, 2013:
Asker Are "GOK" the artist's initials? Have you checked?
Are you sure there is an apostrophe in "painting's" ? - it seems like an apostrophe violation to me
