Italian term

si passa a

Non-PRO Italian to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
c'è una maniera standard per tradurre "da..si passa a..."?
o almeno per esempio da fase 1 si passa a fase 2, oppure dalla teoria si passa alla pratica, oppure dal progetto si passa alla costruzione

Thanks.

"Dal progetto si passa alla produzione con macchine utensili." it's the first sentence, after there is only "Ciò è realizzato con l'uso di un sistema specifico cad/cam."
philgoddard Jan 7, 2014:
And could you give us a few sentences from before and after this one, please?
fedecop (asker) Jan 7, 2014:
I hoped in one translation only!
However, the particular sentece is: Dal progetto si passa alla produzione con macchine utensili.
philgoddard Jan 7, 2014:
You've given three different contexts which could potentially have three different translations. Is there one particular sentence you're trying to translate?

Ex: from theory to practice
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : Now that we have the context, I think the implication is "the system goes straight from design to production".

I think the answer depends a lot on the actual phrase and context.
Example sentence:

After the project one proceeds to the construction phase.
