Russian term

срок реструктуризации

Russian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Привязка срока реструктуризации к доходности бизнеса заемщика в текущей экономической ситуации вполне логична.

Natalia Volkova Feb 20, 2014:
I personally approve It could be put in this way or something, for instance:
"The term of debt restructuring depends on the profitability of the loan debter`s company".
Michael Marcoux (asker) Feb 20, 2014:
How would you all feel about "term restructuring?"

Michael,

In my 'feeling' of the language, the 'term whatever' may have such a connotation / implication as 'terms & conditions'. And it's for this reason only that I've proposed my 'translation option' as the source context, in my view, speaks of 'time' and nothing more.
Note from asker:
I rather much like your variant. Let me ask you though: hypothetically, how would you feel about "term restructuring?"
I understand, and I like your variant more. The reason I asked what you thought of my version was because I was told by LQA that my version was "unacceptable" and that it was obvious I must not be acquainted with financial terminology, implying that I should take a lower rate. Do you think my version is, while not the best, acceptable, or should I hit the books some more?

restructuring period

or maybe "reorganisation period", depending on the context.

Example sentence:

Should the group’s results be considerably below those envisaged by the plan, the group has undertaken to take additional corrective action so as not to exceed a certain level of net debt during the restructuring period.

Lappland Goldminers’ application for an extended restructuring period is approved

It was very hard to chose between your answer and Mr. Lozinsky's- I still like your answer a lot and wish I could award you some points! Don't think proz will let me though.
