Non credo che l'espressione "from time to time" sia corretta in questo contesto, dato che se non erro corrisponde più all'italiano "occasionalmente", mentre qui si intende "in ogni circostanza".
Ho pensato a qualcosa tipo "on a case by case basis" / "on each occasion", ma non mi soddisfano. Suggerimenti?

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

There seem to be some rather, shall we say, passionate responses to my offering several examples instead of the apparently obligatory just one. First of all, I have not seen it written anywhere that you may only offer one suggestion, and secondly I think it would be completely counter productive to do so in many instances, this being one of those. I strongly believe in always searching for the target word that represents, as closely as possible, the exact nuance and meaning of the source word in its context. The asker herself offered three different contexts, and I offered five suggestions, three of which correspond to her three. As for the two left over ("each time" and "as and when needed"), any intelligent person with a good working knowledge of the target language can see that why those are there as well and in which instances they may be a better choice. Maybe my error is in just that, in assuming a certain amount of knowledge of the target language. It seemed to me a reasonable assumption given what site we are on and our profession, but maybe I am wrong in that, being a newbie to KudoZ (and what an introduction!).

I disagree, as the asker herself offered three different examples, each requiring their own translated version of the expression. Besides, I am clearly sure of my suggestions (and corresponding examples), as each one would be correct in the right context.
