Oh, but yes it is; this is a second (= additional, further) interview that 'foolows up' on what was done in the 1st one; it's not like the punter is following the progress of the survey, nor that the surveyor is following the punter.

One reasonable assumption is that this is part of a printed questionnaire to be filled by the participant to the survey, opening the possibility for a later live conversation once the filled survey is returned.

: Though not too sure about using 'recherche' — depends on the wider context, but if this is MARKET research, then the idea of 'étude' is probably more appropriate.
