Claus' Deutung ist auf jeden Fall korrekt, gemeint ist I²R. Ich würde das wohl "ohmsche Verluste" nennen.

Danke! PS: Dein Vorschlag "ohmsche Verluste" stand noch nicht da, als ich meine Antwort gepostet habe - nichts für ungut. Davon abgesehen ist Rolfs Vorschlag ohnehin besser.

: Ich würde es in diesem Kontext "ohmsche Wärme" nennen. Es geht ja nicht darum, Energie zu verlieren/verschwenden.

ohmscher Verlust: (I = Strom hoch 2 mal R = Widerstand),
die Wärmeentwicklung als Folge der ohmschen Verluste ist also dort am höcsten, wo der größte Strom fließt.
