English term

land a fish

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Fisheries a cualquier título
"In the last two-hundred days that I have fished, I have seen only then steelhead LANDED. Seven of these ten steelhead were LANDED by people that I took fishing and four of these were ones that I hooked and passed on the pole."

I´ve done some research and found there is a "landing net" to take the fish out of the water so I don´t know if "to land a fish" means to take them out of the water using this net.

Thanks for your help!

There´s a spelling mistake... it should have read, "I have seen only TEN steelhead landed."...

atrapar y sacar el pez del agua

Habría que ver qué término usaría un pescador, pero según http://www.thefreedictionary.com, el significado de land (a fish) es;
>To catch and pull in (a fish): landed a big catfish.
En el link de youtube que copio como referencia, el instructor muestra cómo sacar el pez con la mano o con una red.
Espero te ayude. Suerte!
