Incluso, aunque estas especies sean susceptibles, no hay ninguna evidencia en la historia de Ecuador de que sean capaces de mantener el virus en estas poblaciones silvestres a pesar de los repetidos brotes de FA que han ocurrido en el país hasta el 2011.
