Per la pasta sigaretta
150 g di albumi
150 g di zucchero a velo
150 g di burro
2 g di colore alimentare rosso in polvere
150 g di farina di riso
2 g di colore alimentare idrosolubile bianco in polvere

Per il biscotto decorato: in planetaria versate il burro morbido con lo zucchero a velo e fate girare con la frusta. Unite gli albumi e la farina di riso. Una volta pronta, colorate una piccola parte di pasta sigaretta con del rosso in polvere e il resto coloratela con il bianco in polvere. Su un foglio silpat create con la punta di una spatola delle forme simili a dei petali di rosa, quindi congelate. Quando sarà ben freddo, ricoprite il tutto con la pasta sigaretta bianca, quindi congelate.

Per il biscotto alle mandorle: montate in planetaria il TPT con le uova e la farina. A parte, montate anche gli albumi con lo zucchero. Unite alla montata di uova il burro fuso e alleggerite con gli albumi. Colate una parte del composto sulla pasta sigaretta e una parte su una teglia rivestita con carta da forno. Cuocete in forno a 220°C.

batter or dough? I have seen both words used in the sugar cone recipes, the former being slightly stiffer and the latter being more liquid. Anyway, the text doesn't call for a cookie or a biscuit, but for the dough that is shaped and colored in the form of rose petals, frozen and then covered with more dough....I don't think you could do this with uncooked batter. In any case, I think you do want to use the word "batter" or "dough" in this particular translation. In this reference the two words are used interchangeably in the same recipe: http://www.thekitchn.com/recipe-sugar-co-11192

yes, I did know that it was the same batter as the one used to make lingua di gatto. the problem with using cat's tongue biscuit is that in this recipe, the batter is clearly not being used to make those particular biscuits and saying "cat's tongue biscuit batter" seems needlessly complex. thanks again.

cat's tongue biscuit

"pasta sigaretta" is the same as "lingua di gatto". It's a kind of biscuit which is commonly known as "cat's tongue biscuit" in English or as "langues de chat" in French
