Russian term

право на получение

Russian to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) доверенность
право на получение которых имеет ОАО ХХХ

it comes at the end of each paragraph as a set phrase. Most of it has to do with being authorized to obtain various documentation related to XXX.

которых имеется в виду documentation.

I need some help with the whole phrase: право на получение которых имеет XXX as a concluding segment. I got several ideas running, including using simply "related to/associated with", but i'm not sure, perhaps there is set phrase in English too.

Thanks!

Discussion

katerina turevich (asker) Nov 28, 2014:
Right, I would say it's more 'obtain' as an active agent. This document authorizes one to...
But it is also of course "receive" in all its senses, not least of which is having the right to 'have' this documentation. And that is really what I am looking for: a combination of both. The person is authorized to obtain documentation which the Company is entitled to receive. The person is acting on behalf of the Company. My little bit of a problem with it is that I already use óbtain' earlier on and throughout all these sentences delineating what there is to be obtained, or submiitted or signed or etc. And then still each sentence ends with a 'receive'. is that a bit funny?
It's not that bad: each of these sentences takes 1/3 of a page, it will be hardly noticeable.
Evgeny Artemov (X) Nov 28, 2014:
Right. But it's unlikely 'receive'. You've got to obtain what you are entitled to receive in Russia, if you know what I mean.
Take the proverbial spravka, for example. ;-). Or a copy of your CoB. Every case is a saga.
Let alone razreshitelnaya documentatsiya with all appropriate consents, approvals and clearances.
(The more so that asker says 'obtain'.)
The Misha Nov 28, 2014:
Receive vs obtain There's yet another subtle issue you seem to be disregard ing here. Obtain implies xxx will be getting it through its own a efforts while receive means they want someone to give it to them, which is most likely the case

agree The Misha : For once I find myself agreeing with you. That xxx had a right to receive is what the orig. says and that's how your lawyer would want it rendered.

Предлагаю такой вариант: "documents receivable by....".
Пример: ".... are payment instruments sent by a foreign bank to ХХХ
which are used to process the collection of financial or commercial **documents receivable by*** you for covering a purchase operation (trade of goods) or paying for goods or services".

neutral The Misha : Not only is it not how this is actually said, but it may also constitute a mistranslation. A small one, yes, but a mistranslation nonetheless.
