able

Non-PRO English Other Other
I am able to keep farming the way I always have (after borrowing farmland)!
Or it is better to change the sentence I can keep farming the way I always have (after borrowing farmland)!

Context Both versions are perfectly correct, but there is a subtle difference of emphasis and the choice is impossible to make without the context, including the writer's intention in making the statement. Style would also be an important consideration.

With Jack I also find "can" more natural here.
Jack Doughty Jan 30, 2015:
I don't agree in this case "Can" is shorter, neater and means the same. But both are perfectly correct.

able is the perfect word here

I prefer the option that uses "able". It sounds more fluent to me.
