foil code

desktop publishing and printing
This is actually on the label of a cheese spread.
But it is the DTP PROOF (Desktop publishing proof) and has to do with the colours used on the label.
There are firstly a row of colours (yellow, magenta, cyan, black, gloss varnish..) and then a 'foil code' (which I translated 'code dorure'), and emboss code (code gaufrage) and then a *Colour code Mesh 00t*
I translated it 'code dorure'for want of something better, but I realise that 'dorure' is not exactly 'foil'
Can anyone help?

Aluminium
Not sure whether is supposed to be a specific color here or just the material as foil can be colored with many different tints/finishes.

Note from asker:
This is an interesting answer, but I am not 100% sure that it fits this particular context. The word foil appears a little later in this sentence:"-I accept that FOIL, finish (varnish and substrate),metallic inks cannot be reproduced by this printout". This would seem to imply that we are talking about a type of colour (perhaps 'dorure') but would like to know what you think. Because although it is on a food label, it is strictly confined to the part which deals with colours, nothing else. |
1 hr
code du tamis
pour suivre ce que j'ai déjà expliqué
4 hrs
code du papier métallique
papier plastique = film
papier métallique = foil
papier métallique = foil
