an Lirka: die klinische Psychologie ist eine Teildisziplin wie auch die pädagogische Psychologie, eine Berufsbezeichnung ist das aber nicht. Wie ich unten schon kommentiert habe, gibt es in Deutschland nur 2 gültige Bezeichnungen: (Diplom-)Psychologe und Psychotherapeut // Nicht jeder Psychologe, der seinen Beruf ausübt, ist also ein klinischer.

@ Regina, it's easy to coin a term that corresponds to the German term word-for-word, but what does it mean practically? What is the difference between my term and your term, actually? If a psychologist is "practicing", then he is a clinical psychologist one way or the other.

Die Erlaubnis der Verwendung als Berufsbezeichnung ist in verschiedenen Ländern teilweise unterschiedlich gesetzlich geregelt (Titelschutz) und setzt ein Universitätsstudium voraus.

das würde doch heißen, dass er als Psychologe arbeitet, aber er ist ja nur registriert... da wäre ich vorsichtig!
