Talking about species distribution patterns in limpets:

Los individuos suelen presentar una distribución contagiosa, no siendo una especie territorial pero presentando un marcado comportamiento de ‘homing’

contagious distribution / mixture distribution

Not simply clumped/clustered, but for a specific reason:

"Distribución contagiosa. Los organismos se distribuyen de tal forma que la presencia de un individuo aumenta la probabilidad de encontrar otro."
http://html.rincondelvago.com/estadistica-aplicada-a-la-ecol...

"Distribución contagiosa: Distribución de probabilidades que describe un proceso estocástico consistente en una combinación de dos o más procesos. También se denomina "distribución de mezcla" (estadística)."
https://books.google.es/books?id=-Wrlek7Ql38C&pg=PA61&lpg=PA...

"contagious distribution
noun
statistics
: a distribution for which the number of variates in some classes is influenced by a tendency of the variates to occur in aggregates "
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/contagious distrib...

"Contagious distributions
Stephen Nicar
[...] The density function for w is what’s called a “contagious” distribution or a “mixture.”"
http://www.colorado.edu/economics/morey/7818/univariatervs/7...

"Contagious distribution. A probability distribution describing a stochastic process consisting of a combination of two or more processes. Also referred to as a "mixture distribution" (statistics)."

It will perhaps depend a bit on how technical and precise a term you want to use, but "contagious distribution" is exactly the same thing as "distribución contagiosa":

"Contagious distribution in the European red mite, Panonychus ulmi (Koch), and a method of grading population densities from a count of mite-free leaves"
D. P. Pielou
Canadian Journal of Zoology, 1960, 38(3): 645-653
http://www.nrcresearchpress.com/doi/abs/10.1139/z60-068#.VZf...

"Distribution of the eucalypt-defoliating sawfly Perga affinis affinis (Hymenoptera)"
PB Carne
Australian Journal of Zoology 13(4) 593 - 612
"Field experiments indicated that an observed contagious distribution of sawfly eggs in portions of the crowns of individual trees is not the result of overt gregariousness on the part of the females, but results from the attraction of the latter to foliage of certain physical characteristics and position on the tree."
http://www.publish.csiro.au/paper/ZO9650593.htm

Etc.

Also aggregated:

"aggregated distribution. A term used to describe the spatial distribution of the individuals in a population. Other equivalent terms are contagious distibution, clumped distribution or overdispersion."
https://books.google.es/books?id=JKTeiqPBpM4C&pg=PA15&lpg=PA...

"Population dispersion
[...]
There are three basic patterns of dispersion (figure 4C.1): uniform (or regular), random, and contagious (also called clumped, clustered or patchy). Contagious and uniform dispersion patterns are sometimes called overdispersed and underdispersed, respectively. The distribution of organisms in nature is seldom as uniform as in an orchard or a cornfield but is generally contagious."

See also, e.g.

So actually any of these terms, contagious, aggregated, clumped or clustered, could be are are used in ecology. Take your pick.

Hi Liz, thanks for your input. Your answer was my first thought too, but I did a bit of research into these distribution patterns, and it turns out "contagious" is exactly what I wanted. Who'd've guessed? ;o)
