Italian term

confronto scadenzale

Italian to English Other Education / Pedagogy
A scholar proposes to have various other scholars study a theme (synesthesia) and then, as part of the research, compare results. The word 'scadenzale' is throwing me off. Scheduled? Regular?

"Da questo punto di vista quindi riteniamo fondamentale:
- un ***confronto scadenzale*** tra i vari ricercatori;
- una serie di workshop con musicisti, attori e ballerini, che permettano di lavorare sulla materia sonora..."

I don't know whether she means repeated sessions for comparing data, or just one. This would affect the translation, of course.

Thanks,
Peter

I find that Italian very often uses singular expressions where a plural in English is what is actually meant.
