correct - the hyphen is in disuse Matheus, it's correct most people don't use the hyphen that way, although technically we should, and failing to use it can create confusion. Regardless, context usually clarifies the intended meaning.

English-teacher? English-teacher, with a hyphen? I've never seen that in my life. I will definitely not argue about head-teacher vs. head teacher - I made a mistake there and the least I can do is admit it (by the way, I have no problem in doing that).

But English-teacher? If that's a grammar rule, no one seems to use it... anyway, thanks for sharing that. I will think twice about using "head-teacher" the next time.

Careful w/ hyphens and sexually explicit language! Hyphens change the meaning. For example, English teacher = professor(a) ingles. English-teacher = professor(a) de ingles." Similarly, head teacher = a teacher who supervises the other teachers. Head-teacher = professor(a) de coito bucal.

head Richard, it was exactly not a guess: the answer was based on the definition of "head", which gives the idea of "leader", "the most important person in a group", etc.
However, it doesn't match actual usage, so you are right - it is not the best choice.

I also think the glossary needs to be corrected. Maybe we should add "form teacher" for UK and"homeroom teacher" for US:

pro level??? Yet again a non-native choose the wrong answer from another non-native, an answer with no substantiation and basically a guess. head teacher is something different people. And then it is added to the glossary! No wonder there is so much badly-translated gobbledy-gook floating around.

Dê uma olhada aqui http://corpus.byu.edu/glowbe/, ponha os dois sintagmas no espaço de busca e você verá que class teacher é usado em todos os países listados, já form teacher/tutor não.
