What is a "non-slam ejector?"
Context says:
"The ejector is a type of pump that is capable of ejecting high-pressure fluid and transferring fluid adjacent to the ejected fluid to another location. As shown in the figure, Ejector F sprays pressurized water inside the Surge Tank maintaining high pressure upon pump trip toward the pipe terminal through the nozzle, and low-pressure fluid at the outlet of the pump flows toward the pipe terminal accordingly. The existing Surge Tank is connected to the main pipe upon pump trip to eject fluid toward both check valve and pipe terminal. Once the pump trips, Ejector F ejects fluid toward the pipe terminal, with the check valve closing with virtually no counter-flow; thus causing no slamming. Furthermore, pressurized water is sprayed in the forward direction to the inlet of the check valve for a short period of time through Ejector R to keep the flow of fluid in the forward direction in the piping system from the pump to the check valve and header so as to enhance the inertia of the pump and prevent slamming regardless of the type of check valve. There is no moving part to ensure high operational reliability; neither are there maintenance requirements, thereby ensuring an affordable price. In short, the product has excellent functions as a safety device."
