EU letter

English to French Other Law: Taxation & Customs
Upon arrival in Nigeria, the subject was refused entry by the authorities.
The authorities stipulated that the birth certificate was fake and advised returns on EU letters were not accepted in Nigeria.

Comments : looks like a type of letter used as supporting evidence to remove an illegal immigrant from Europe and take him back to his country.

It looks to me... ...as if this person is FROM Nigeria and had been returned there from the EU, BUT that the local authorities are refusing to accept them as they do not recognize a mere 'EU letter' as sufficient proof that the person with the fake birth certificate really IS from Nigeria.

it looks like the European country makes effective use of the EU Letter for returns in the absence of a valid national passport.
