a) It does (Tech/Engineering - E-Technik/Elektronik / Cable manufacturing), b) the term is not assembly manufacturer but cable assembly manufacturer, and c) just take my proposal and google it.

Simply put: It's a manual labor job - in packaging (r-bach link), cable assembly, textile manufacturing, etc.

If you want to keep it generic, "manufacturer" is not the way to go.
1) Terminology
Whereas "Maschinenbauer" and "Anlagenbauer" can be both individuals and companies, "Konfektionäre" seems restricted to actual people.
