Spanish to English Other Construction / Civil Engineering Construcción
La palabra es estadia, sin tilde, tengo entendido que es un instrumento utilizado en topografía para medir, sin embargo no lo encuentro en ningún diccionario.

Contexto En principio, "estadia" no es un instrumento, sino un método. ¿Podrías darnos el contexto o los contextos en los que aparece el término?

leveling rod

In the US, the common name for this is "leveling rod;" "level staff" is also found in dictionaries, but isn't common nowadays, at least in the US.
The leveling rod is not an instrument, really; it is a big long ruler, in essence, with cunningly designed graduations to assist the survey crew in determining relative elevations of points of interest at a site. Not used so much these days, because so much of surveying is done using the GPS system.
