Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): danya, Alexander Ivashkevich

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

beermatt Feb 10, 2017:
@ Vanda Nissen: Viz yor Digri yu vil anderstend zet "Sweetie" or "Pumpkin" are only very individual, and "My Dearest" or "My Darling" are the ok solutions a native speaker can provide without very close, intensive analysis of the relationship between the two.
(not perfect solutions, but ok!)
Vanda Nissen Jan 27, 2017:
Maria Kaverina Jan 27, 2017:
Natalya, I think any of the above suggestions will work here. I don't think the word sequence is very important here. It could also be my sweetheart, my sweetie, my honeybuns etc etc
Natalya Boyce (asker) Jan 27, 2017:
Это обращение к жене в письме

My dearest

Дорогая моя is a bit more emphatic in Russian than Моя дорогая.

My dear

No different from Moya dorogaya.

Can also be "My darling" for more tenderness, depending on the content of the letter.

My dear

Не совсем понятно, в чем заключается сложность для перевода. По-моему, все ясно и понятно, или я понимаю слишком буквально?
