Buenas noches a todos. Mi duda radica en que esta póliza se celebra entre la insuring party y el insurer. A priori hubiera pensado que son sinónimos, pero aquí la insuring party, por lo que entiendo, participa en calidad de asegurado.
Por otra parte, el documento también habla del insured o insured party, lo cual me despista un poco.
Algunos ejemplos:
No alteration of the terms of this policy of insurance which may be agreed as between the insuring party and the insurer shall require the agreement or consent of any other party constituting the insured under any section.

No es ni la parte aseguradora (la compañía de seguros) ni el asegurado, aunque, como indica tu segundo ejemplo, puede serlo también. Es la parte que contrata el seguro.
El siguente documento es de Uruguay:
"II. Partes del contrato y sujetos relacionados
En el contrato de seguro participan varios sujetos. Algunos en calidad de partes - asegurador y tomador - y otros que, a pesar de no ser partes, son los beneficiarios designados en el contrato. A su vez, el asegurado puede no haber sido parte en el contrato, como el caso del seguro sobre la vida de un tercero.

2. El tomador
El tomador del seguro es cualquier persona física o jurídica que contrata el seguro. Para ello, debe poseer un interés asegurable en que la cosa objeto del seguro no se vea alcanzada por el siniestro.
Puede contratar el seguro por sí y para sí, o por cuenta de un tercero."

El caso es que "insuring party" se emplea en dos sentidos distintos. Puede significar la aseguradora; pero en tu caso, evidentemente, no es así. El otro sentido es el que se indica en tus ejemplos, y otros similares:
"8.1 Insuring Party. As used in this Paragraph 8, the term “insuring party” shall mean the party who has the obligation to obtain the Property Insurance required hereunder. "

Aquí, como vemos, no es la aseguradora, sino la parte que contrata el seguro. Pero "parte contratante" sería ambiguo, porque la aseguradora también es parte contratante en un contrato de seguro. Creo que "tomador" sería más claro (de vez en cuando se encuentra "parte tomadora", pero no muy frecuentemente).
