Albanian term
matura shtetërore
Albanian to English
Social Sciences
Education / Pedagogy
high school certificate
I thought this was what you got automatically when you finish high school in Albania with grades "mjaft" and above. After googling it looks different, a kind of exam after high school that gives you the access to university. Should I add this in a translator's note? It seems possible to finish high school (with grades "mjaft" and above) without getting access to university.

high school graduation exams
Different countries have different education systems, including high school age. In America, I believe, these are called exit exams. In Britain, we have GCSE exams taken at the end of secondary school, when students are around 16 (and A-levels at the end of college - not to be confused with university).
I think the term "high school graduation exams" is internationally accepted and understood, but one could opt to put a particular country's equivalent as a match for the context if necessary.
