Dutch term

Installatie

Dutch to English Medical Medical (general) Zorgfiche hospital on admission of patient
This is a form that is used to record things like mobility, hygiene, respiration etc. when a patient is admitted to hospital. One of the subjects is "Installatie van de bedlegerige patient, med. redenen" and
I am not quite sure what the word "installation" means here. Anyone?

@ Barend Bedankt voor je opmerking. Leuke vergelijking!

settling the patient

Not entirely sure but this seems to be an option worth considering.

If the emphasis is on ensuring that the patient is comfortably positioned in his/her bed, then 'positioning' or 'making comfortable' (as proposed by Arie) are probably better options.

FWIW, here's a few references for 'settling (in)' that I didn't have time to dig up at the time of posting this answer.

In his work as an LNA, John draws blood, conducts tests, assists with settling patients in their rooms, getting vital signs and scribing for traumas that captures data a trauma center must report.

An interview schedule was constructed to ensure that critical topics were covered, such as patient admission and settling in to the ward; carer relationship with staff; the ward environment; patients’ daily routines such as sleeping, meals, hygiene and activities; privacy and dignity; care and medical treatment; and discharge planning.

On arrival to the ward, you will be shown the facilities and told about the ward routine. A nurse will check your details and make you comfortable. There will be a trained nurse on duty who is responsible for your care. If you or your family have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Once settled in, a member of the ward team will come and introduce themselves and discuss what your needs are whilst on the ward.

Positioning

// This might work, but might work with respect to 'belegerige' patients as well: 'installatie' is used in both cases, most likely in the same sense.

Daar zou ik van maken: Complete assistance with making comfortable of ...
agree Kitty Brussaard : I guess it all depends on the context but this indeed seems a very common term.
