neutral Tony M : I can't see any possible relation between this expression and the source term? / I did, but I'm convinced it is not this kind of 'collier' — particularly since that wouldn't be consistent with the use of 'bracket' in EN

Please refer to http://www.techdico.com/francais-anglais?search=collier de f... / http://www.linguee.fr/francais-anglais/search?source=auto&qu... // collier de fixation is more appropriate I guess.

But it's hard to tell without a great deal more of your context!

In particualr, what these O-rings are being used for? Are they literally 'seals' of some kind (seems highly unlikely!) — or are they in fact more like 'grommets'? If that were the case, then there might well be a case for a different translation...

OK, with the help of the figures kindly found for us by DrCLG, we can see that these are not in fcat "brackets for mouting O-rings" (which my translation would fit), but actually 'mounting brackets fitted with O-rings' — and apparently very much more in the sense of 'grommets' as I suspected.

So perhaps 'support à joint torique' would be a better starting point?

Have you actually looked at the drawing? My term, although possibly not the best translation, is certainly an accurate description of the component, and could not be considered as unequivocally 'wrong'!
