Hello

Company guidelines on almost everything but the kitchen sink but we're now onto computers, data, etc.

Företagsinformation till extern part lämnas av företagets ledare inom ramen för respektive ledares ***QLEPM***-ansvar efter godkännande från ***PGM*** eller annan medlem i Företagsledningsgruppen

PGM could be Programme Management (or not) but what is QLEPM? (I'd really like to solve both acronyms)

I'm not even sure if these are Swedish or English acronyms but have a hunch they are English cos of the letter Q

Can anyway decrypt please?

Just found - KLEPM (personal samt miljö) Although it once again seems to be company-specific.
De operativa målområdena är: Kvalitet, ledtid, ekonomi, personal samt miljö (KLEPM).

contains a comprehensive explanation in English, including
Q=Quality
L= Delivery precision (leveranssäkerhet?)
E= Efficiency.
Following this article, I would translate QLEPM as Lean Production Management.
If the text is actually about SAAB then I would leave it as QLEPM, with a note "SAAB's lean production management system".

@Alison So it started off as half Swedish, half English (QLE), became completely Swedish (KLE) and then got anglicised back into QLE where the L and E stand for something a bit different to the original Swedish (more or less)? Thanks, put this up as an answer (QLE) and you have 4 points coming your way - you deserve 40 -.

Nice one Allison! An English acronym used in a Swedish text when there is a perfectly valid corresponding Swedish acronym. We see that entirely too often in our work for our own quality and efficiency -- to say nothing of our work environment... ;-)

Thanks, Deane, but I'm not entirely sure how the PM part fits in. There seem to be a number of possibilities and I can't find any conclusive evidence.

I usually give it a shot -- to find what the designation means. If it doesn't come easy -- like here -- I put a not in the translation. Unless you find it elsewhere in your text that helps.
