Grund genug für uns, für etwas Klarheit zu sorgen.
I can't work out exactly what they are trying to say about well-meaning and half-truths. Please can someone explain this to me?

In short, even if you try to be a bit more "forgiving," since these people may be laymen and may not know what is technically accurate, the statements are still misleading and wrong.
