English term (edited): tightness or looseness of interglyph spacing

Microsoft usa "glifi" (come da esempi sotto), ma io andrei semplicemente con "caratteri" (vedi anche http://www.leoausili.it/ComputerGraphic/Slide/12.pdf#page=10... )
