German term

Dienstleistung unter Fortzahlung der Bezüge

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Employment contract
This is a sentence in an Entsendungsvertrag:

Die Bestellung von Herrn XXX zum Mitglied der Geschäftsführung kann
jederzeit widerrufen werden und Herr XXX kann von seiner Verpflichtung zur Dienstleistung unter Fortzahlung der Bezüge gemäß § 3 Abs. (1) und Abs. (2) freigestellt werden.

So far I have

Mr XXX’s appointment as member of the management board can be revoked at any time and Mr XXX can be released from his obligation to provide work under continued payment according to Section 3(1) and (2).

Any help appreciated, as always.

Variation on "under continued pay": "in exchange for continued payment of salary"
Note from asker:
Hi Steffen, I had seen that, thanks, but I'm just not sure of the overall wording of the translation.
Hi Steffen, I used your suggestion in my translation! (Specifically: Mr XXX may be released from his duty to perform work in exchange for continued payment of salary pursuant to Section 3(1) and (2).) If you would like to submit it as an answer, I'll give you the points.
