licitar
"bid" gralmente é traduzido como "licitação". Nesse caso, seria o verbo "licitar".
Também há como possibilidades: arrematar e ofertar. Mas acho que licitar seria melhor.
Bom trabalho!

bid
apresentar uma oferta, fazer/dar lance (em leilão), candidatar-se, pedir, ordenar; oferta (de compra), lance (leilão), proposta, licitação, concorrência, tentativa (Peer Gynt forges a path of human destruction in his single-minded bid to become "king of the world."), concurso, orçamento
