I've seen this called two different things in French contracts:

In context I prefer the term "auteur," because auteur/author has a specific meaning in intellectual property (IP) law, while editors doesn't. An "author/auteur" holds IP rights, and that's what this provision is about: the fact that some rights in this software are held by third parties.
