Creo que aquí se trata de los llamados contadores inteligentes o smart meters que miden el consumo de electricidad en determinados intervalos de 15, 30 o 60 minutos. Las compañías de electricidad quieren poner estos contadores para que no tengan que estimar el consumo de un consumidor sino tener un conteo exacto y así mismo implementar tarifas de energía del tiempo de uso determinado.
