Spanish term

desamparo subito familiar

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Insurance
Insurance coverage (seguro de desgravamen) offered by Scotiabank in Peru.

From the definition, I understand it is a type of title insurance paid out in case of death of the titleholder and their spouse in the same event, presumably so the family does not get booted out and become homeless.

However, can't find any way/sources of the correct term for this kinds of coverage in English.

Discussion

Laura Molinari (asker) Jun 19, 2019:
Contextual sentence There's not much. It says: DESAMPARO SUBITO FAMILIAR: Cubre el fallecimiento por Accidente del Titular y el/la Conyuge en un mismo evento.
Thomas Walker Jun 17, 2019:
More context, please Please give us the whole paragraph, or at least a couple of sentences, so we can figure out what's going on here, & give you a better answer.

Spanish term (edited): desamparo súbito familiar (seguro de desgravamen)

joint life endowment for unexpected family hardship (relief insurance endorsement)

Would make more sense as a one-off endorsement clause to a *joint llife endowment mortgage or accidental death insurance policy*.

Otherwise, the presumption of 'commorientes' in Canadian and English law is more one of succession to an estate - the younger is presumed to have survived the older - than an insurance term of art.
Example sentence:

Joint life endowment *assurance* > Under this plan policies are issued on the lives of two persons and simultaneously cover risk on the lives of both for the sum assured.
