Se trata en cualquier caso de material de cobertura que resulta menos abrasivo y se adhiere menos a la herida que los apósitos o gasas tejidas, útiles por ejemplo para desbridar, precisamente por las características aludidas.
Aunque parezca un trabalenguas, así se describen habitualmente en castellano los non-woven dressings.

Pero la venda/vendaje es lo que podrías poner encima del apósito o de las gasas. Una herida no la vendas directamente, sino que pones primero algo para cubrirla.
