This is the pipe between the charge air cooler and the turbocharger in a car. Does anyone know what it is in English?

querung - crossover metal pipe? https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1505819 Think Daniel has a point, turbos are a little more complicate, there may be a WASTEGATE located on Querung Crossover pipe, compressed air after Intercooler. Crossover dump valve, waste gate, linkage to open and let off extra Komprssor air is very very important. People used to hook up turbos and take off, one has to calculate pressure and force at all times, otherwise you can blow your Moline tractor sky high.

Charge air cooler... ...is fine. Multiple words are used interchangeably in this case; the definitions of intercooler and aftercooler only apply to industrial processes. Cf https://cgj.com/are-intercoolers-aftercoolers-charge-air-coo...

It routes air from the turbo >> intercooler >> charge pipe >> engine. Basically carries the turbo's / compressed air into the engine.

Also, the 'charge air cooler' is typically known as the 'intercooler'.
HTH :)
Peer comment(s):

agree Kurt Kruger : It may also be a "turbo inlet hose" - just stick with "turbo intake", to be generic.

disagree Daniel Arnold (X) : if you look at how a turbo works, the pipe between the charge air cooler and the turbocharger is an OUTLET from the turbocharger, not an inlet to it..

turbo (intercooler) hose

see the link below for explanation. this is the hose that goes from the turbocharger to the cooler (in that direction, so it's an outlet from the turbocharger). also google term and look at diagrams that explain the turbo principle.
